Riding levels:

·       Beginner: Any riders who have not achieved proficiency in steering and controlling their horse are the walk and the trot and are able to get the transition on their own. 

·       Intermediate: A rider who has proficiency at walk and trot with multiple horses and has begun to attempt canter. An intermediate jumper is beginning small obstacles and not yet navigating lines or more complicated courses. 

·       Advanced: A rider who can confidently and proficiently steer and control any horse at the walk, trot, or canter, in a group setting. An advanced jumper can navigate lines or more complicated courses. 

All new riders are required to first complete 1-3 private or semi-private lessons before joining a group, regardless of previous experience riding or handling horses, to establish the riding levels of the new rider(s) and familiarize themselves with the riding style and expectations of TSS. It will include an orientation of the facility and review of our Rules & Regulations. The number of lessons is at the discretion of the trainer and may even exceed 3. Any riders who may be required to take a private lesson before switching to a higher-level group as well.
